At Criterion BJJ, students enjoy training in a beautiful 2500 square foot space, once home to a local church. Completely remodeled as a jiu jitsu training facility, the high ceilings and stained glass windows retain much of the original charm in this one-of-a-kind facility. Our hardwood floors and top-of-the-line Zebra grappling mats provide a clean, professional environment that everyone can appreciate.

As a student himself for 22 years, Rob Setree has been honored to teach Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for over 17 years. He's a 3nd Degree Black Belt, earned under the 8th degree Black Belt, Master Pedro Sauer. Pedro studied under Helio and Rickson Gracie, power-house names in the world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Rob is a perpetual student, blessed with the opportunity to share his love of Jiu Jitsu with others.

Do I need any prior martial arts experience to join Criterion Brazilian JiuJitsu?
No, prior martial arts experience is not necessary. Our classes cater to all levels, from complete beginners to advanced practitioners.
What should I bring to my first class?
For your first class, wear comfortable sports clothing. A Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gi is needed for continued classes.
Are there age restrictions for joining any of the classes?
Our adult classes are suitable for individuals 13 years and older. For children, we offer specific programs tailored for ages 5-12.
How often should I attend classes to see improvement?
We recommend attending at least 2-3 classes per week to maximize learning and improvement.
